Here are some things we'll need to know before we can get started. Don’t worry if you are missing some of the pieces, this is not a computer form! With ink on paper, we’ll work on this together!

Note:
A typical sloped roof might run from 30 to 60 degrees - to give you a feel for this: stairways are typically 30 degrees.

Roof pitch is the ratio of a roof's vertical rise in inches to each foot of horizontal distance [called the run].
A 4-in-12 pitch describes a roof that rises 4 inches vertically for every 12 inches of horizontal distance.
Contractors often talk about "rise-to-run" or pitch. If you only know this, we can convert to degrees!

A general description is okay for now. We'll need to do a rough drawing of your building’s orientation to apply for permits and to project power generation.

sp How many square feet of roof surface receive unobstructed sunlight 10am to 5pm in the Spring, Summer, and Fall? sp remember - PV Panels can't be placed on a chimney, air vent, stack pipe etc.

About those lovely trees  . . .   Do remember that trees, like kids, tend to grow over time!

We find that the Web site:   maps.google.com   to be very useful here. We use it to "walk" around the property and talk to you as we both see it from a satellite photo!
