Barbara Bernhard is an award-winning producer and writer who has traveled the
world covering the key events of our time. Her passion for developing exciting
programs that both inform and entertain has taken her to the top of her
profession and made her a talent sought-after by the biggest names in
broadcasting.
Her projects have won the highest awards the profession has to offer,
including the Emmy, Peabody, Dupont-Columbia, Associated Press and the top
honor from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. Barbara has produced
the big stories that reach big audiences: the attack on the World Trade Center,
Hurricane Katrina, the Asian Tsunami, the Miracle on the Hudson, OJ Simpson,
Michael Jackson, The Columbia disaster, the Challenger explosion. She has
written and produced for the biggest network stars, including Tom Brokaw, Dan
Rather, Peter Jennings, Katie Couric, Brian Williams, Diane Sawyer and Barbara
Walters. She has created national shows for Dateline NBC, served as head writer
for Good Morning America and written for CBS News, ABC World News Now, NBC
Nightly News, National Public Radio, the New York Daily News and the Associated
Press. Barbara is always on the trail of the unusual, the exciting, the
enlightening and has crafted her finds into programs for the Discovery Channel, the Science Channel, National Geographic, Bravo, PBS and other television outlets, has produced docudramas for WGBH and has expanded media operations in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, North Carolina and Seattle. At CBS, Barbara served as executive producer for Gulf War coverage, controlling and guiding the network in its award-winning broadcasts. She''s developed programs with CBS Eye Too Productions, including the NextWorld Series and the reality show Chop Cops. At NBC, She was instrumental in creating an entirely new, cutting edge division for podcasting. The mobile network NBC-To-Go was one of the first to be picked up by major cell service providers. It''s become a hot feature on Verizon and Sprint and is now one of NBC''s most profitable businesses. Barbara also lead the development of podcasting for Reader''s Digest, then the world''s largest magazine, with more than 40 million subscribers. Never one to shy away from big names and major issues, Barbara has interviewed Presidents, including Bill Clinton and George Bush. She''s been on the campaign trail, covered the conventions of both parties and produced historic election-night and inauguration broadcasts. As a writer, director and producer, Randolph's vast body of distinguished work includes arena events, internationally recognized brand campaigns, tours and immersive theatrical productions. His vast creative and production talents have been tapped for television productions such as The Mickey Mouse Club and Inside Out on the Disney Channel, tons of commercials, hundreds of voice-overs and recordings and productions in Las Vegas. He's developed additional programs with HGTV, TLC, ABC and CBS, shows Off-Broadway and several feature films.
Randolph wrote and directed the Pokemon 10th Anniversary Celebration and International Championship Games hosted by Hulk Hogan, The Trivial Pursuit 90's Edition Time Capsule Tour and the International Monopoly Championship Games. In addition his scripts for the Toys "R" Us Holiday Parade in Times Square filled children and their families with holiday cheer for three years running. He has worked as a consultant to many corporate entertainment companies such as Ripley's Believe It Or Not! Museums, Hasbro Games and Arm & Hammer to name a few and he has masterfully launched successful brand campaigns for Embarq, Hanes, Samsung, Wachovia and Tide.
In his 16-year career with Walt Disney Entertainment, Randolph was instrumental in envisioning, scripting and directing more than 1000 fully staged production shows, international offerings, celebrations and signature events. The events department he developed for Epcot generated over 25 million dollars in its first year. With a variety of international stages on which to create and play, Randolph utilized every available location of Epcot, filling the park with more entertainment then at anytime in its history. He created the renowned LAFF911: Emergency Response Entertainment Unit, a quick response troupe of performers for Disney attractions.
His creative talents have also guided such internationally recognized signature events as The International Flower and Garden Festival: Flower Power and The Food and Wine Festival each exceeding attendance by more than 2 million annually.
His video "Epcot, Discover It" won a distinguished cast member award, the attention and praise of CEO Michael Eisner, a spot on the Disney Channel and greeted travelers upon arrival at Orlando International Airport.
His creative and writing abilities have helped shape such recognizable Disney attractions as The Great Movie Ride, The Back-lot Tour, Catastrophe Canyon, The Indiana Jones Stunt Show, Test Track, Innoventions, Honey I Shrunk The Audience and more.
As Show Director for the Disney Cruise Line, he fearlessly steered all the entertainment for both grand vessels including the launch of the Disney Wonder. Randolph accepted the industry's highest award for excellence in cruise line entertainment and raised the overall guest satisfaction ratings to over 95% excellent.
Starting his career on the theatrical stage, Randolph worked with such luminaries as Tennessee Williams, Eric Bentley and E. G. Marshall. His education continued nationally on the improvisation circuit eventually landing him starring roles with Walt Disney Entertainment. Randolph soon transitioned from performing to become one of the company's youngest writer/show directors.
He's directed many regional theatre productions including THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD, GREASE, NUNSENSE, OUR TOWN, THE 1940'S RADIO HOUR, and A CHRISTMAS CAROL. He's also worked with some impressive talents such as: Jay Leno, Dick Clark, Howard Keel, Louis Gossett, Jr., Bette Midler, Shirley Jones, Britney Spears, Regis Philbin and countless others.
His mighty pen is his sword. His studies have included Entertainment Business, as well as art and art history and his original designs have graced book covers, greeting cards, t-shirts, posters and Mylar balloons. His skills have also been applied to designing sets and costumes for theatrical productions.
Randolph is dedicated to all aspects of the arts and his passion is infinite. It's his ability to "tell a complete story" which makes him the perfect creative force behind any entertainment experience, but he's most proud of his two greatest creations: his son, Taylor and daughter, Hannah.
